Do soap opera actors get turned on when they do love scenes?!

yes. I saw a youtube clip about justin hartley from passions, he was talking about smallville. he was answering a question about makeout scenes and he said that he tells the other person "don't get upset if something does happen and don't get upset if something doesn't happen". too funny.

I think they are only human it must happen and they also must be uncomfortable from time to time but after working with the same person you get use to it

I'm sure theres an attraction- I mean, Sonny is SUCH a FOX!!! Megan Ward (Kate) said in an interview that love scenes are more technical than anything. She was talking about a love scene she did with a woman for a movie.

Some of the actors do, yes. The method actors. (The man who plays Sonny is a method actor.) They are the best actors when it comes to conveying emotions.
But, some definitely don't. You can always tell... they are the robotic ones.
Have you ever been in a play where you had to express some particular emotion and you called upon an event from your past to assist the portrayal? Well, that is generally what method actors do. So, I'd say the definitely get turned on.
Probably not. They have people all around them telling them which way to turn their head and where to move their arms and there are cameras in their face. I think it's just a job to them.
No. They have to concentrate on how to make their scene look good - not a bad job. But there are cameras and people all around them.
I am sure some of them do but htey have said that actaully they are awkward! There are about 25 people standing around taping and directing and telling them to touch her more, move her haor this ways, etc. It is too technical to be a turn on to most of them.
Most have said it is awkward because of the "audience" in the studio. But there have been times when things have "popped" up. Kristoff St. John (Neil on Y&R) said that it happened to him one time during one of those scenes with Vivica A. Fox. He joked because of how attractive she is, and well, he is human. But the majority of the time, it is just a role and weird because of the people who are watching them "do it".
I think the ones that have that certain chemistry do have to have some type of feelings when they're getting all hot and heavy like that, come on!!! How many TV couples have actually become real life couples in the soap opera business??? I'm sure you can name quite a few, so don't tell me its ALL acting. okayyyyyyy!
I have read and heard that it does happen on occasion. But usually with all the crew etc. around it is not likely to.
