Prob because Claire gets on the chopper just like in Desmond's visions but something happens to her on there and Jack feels guilty because he was the one who convinced everyone to trust the freighter people. Then, he will learn that Claire is his sister and it will make matters worse.

its a good theory, but I would even take it further... what if there is a decision Jack makes that leads to Claire's death (or he kills her himself by accident). He wouldn't want to see Aaron because he doesn't want to have admit to the mistakes he has mae.
what episode are you talking about season 4 show 4? i dont know i have just about given up trying to figure out whats going on,i still love the show but the more i think the more my head hurts.
One of the therory is that only the six could get off the island and Clair stayed behind and let Aaron go instead.
