Does anyone recall a show on PBS in the 80's about a group of kids protectin!
Question: The show was about a post apocalyptic world where children found a library, were sworn to protect the knowledge within, and had to fend off swarms of uneducated rednecks with dirt bikes and four wheelers. I swear I'm not crazy and I need to prove my friends wrong about its existence! HELP!!!!!!

What you're talking about was a 1982 classroom TV show called "Tomes and Talismans", made by the Agency for Instructional Television and Missisippi Educational TV (the makers of another cult-favorite classroom show "The Write Channel"...remember "Palabra jot, palabra jot"?).
This post-apocaylptic sci-fi styled series was intended to teach middle-school kids about using the library and everything within it.
There is an underground tape-trade network for old AIT material where copies of this 12-part series can be gotten (as this show is no longer being distributed or aired anywhere).
you are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
it goes on and on and on
I think you might have hit your head too many times on the WHAM! 33 record. I am a 80's TV geek and that one stumped me. The best I can think of was a show called the Edison Twins - they did some really whacked out stories and maybe that is what you are recalling?
