I disagree .. I think as cruel as he seems he's mostly right .. we as watchers don't understand it as much but after he's so harsh .. it's actually pretty true .. he needs to be harsh in hopes they fix what was wrong to come back stronger to prove themselves .. someone needs to tell them what they're doing wrong .. paula surely doesnt and randy only something .. but sometimes he should say things a little more respectful because some things he says are hurtful when people are trying so hard ..

Simon is an A&R guy and of the three judges, he is the most honest one. He tells it like it is, rude as it may be. And he knows his stuff. For those reasons, he's the best judge
