Dr Who question. Heard a rumour that in series 4 Paul McGann will appear as Dr i!

Question: Paul McGann will appear as the Doctor in a radio series on BBC Radio 7 with Sheridan Smith as "Lucie Miller". Because the BBC, along with Big Finish Productions, are seeking to continue these radio adventures for the Eighth Doctor it seems very unlikely that they would use him on TV at the same time.
In numerous interviews for TV, Doctor Who Confidential, newspapers and Doctor Who Magazine Russel T Davies has said that he would be very unlikely ever to show any scenes from the Time War bacause they would be almost impossible to create in a visually realisable way for TV. The Time War was primarily fought with time weaponry which does things like delete history and alters the past so these would be difficult, if not impossible to actually produce as a special effect.

dont believe rumours

Why would they have the actor from the televised movie return? The movie and the concepts of the original TV show were drug through space and time in order to rile up fans once again and it didn't really succeed all that well. 2005 came around and he was replaced by Christopher Eccleston, who was later replaced by David Tennant. The two actors mentioned helped the show gain popularity once more.

McGann was not as influential as the other actors and only starred in the televised movie and it was his only gig he did as the 8th Doctor. He only played the Doctor ONCE and had the shortest screen time out of all of the actors. I don't see why he would be included because he is not as iconic as the others.

Rumors aren't even true and shouldn't be believed until you see the actual finished project for yourself. However it is different if the production company that is filming it says that is is true, then they are likely to be more believed.

This is untrue.Take it from someone in the know.It amazes me how these rumours get started.

There always rumours going around about Doctor Who we will just have to wait and find out what happens

I saw the website some months back and took it to be a wishlist rather than a detailed expose of series 4.
Some elements do seem to have come true (eg.sontarans, billie) others so far seem off the mark.
There is new information created about the time-war in the recent Dr Who annual. My feeling is it must have been created for a reason, and there must be some plan afoot to reference the time-war at some point in the series or specials but to what extent ? A lot of people could be disapointed the more the rumour of a whole series of time-war spreads and doesn't come true.

I heard a rumour that I was going to be the next Doctor. imagine my surprise when i bunked off work and went all the way to cardiff only to be dragged kicking and screaming from the set. and sectioned into the bargain. david tennant was livid.
dont believe rumours.

That's just a rumour.
