Question: I remember a little about it, but sometimes i fast forward the characters i don't like. I need filled in on his story. I know hes is Alcazars son and Sam killed him. But now hes back??? How did they spin this? Who did he date? whats his scoop?

After being taken in by Courtney Matthews (the half-sister of Sonny Corinthos), Diego began acting out with Brook Lynn Ashton. Eventually he found out his father was crime boss and arms dealer Lorenzo Alcazar. Alcazar had slept with Diego's mother Maria Sanchez, who Diego grew up believing was his sister. Maria arranged for Diego to go into foster care when she found out she was about to be deported. Diego began living with his father and following in his crime boss footsteps. After months of not doing much, when Kirsten Storms joined the show in May 2005 as the new Maxie Jones, Diego took a liking to her and broke up with his current girlfriend, Brook Lynn. He turned out to be the PCU stalker who had been drugging girls and taking pictures of them, including Maxie and Brook. He claimed he was getting revenge on them for the death of his cousin, Sage Alcazar, his teenage cousin who Dillon Quartermaine used for sex. Sage died as a result of being locked into a freezer by Georgie Jones, who resented Sage for her pursuit of Dillon in the wake of her father's murder, Luis Alcazar, that left her emotionally fragile. Unable to free herself from the freezer, Sage was a sitting duck for a serial killer named Mary Bishop, who mistook her for Emily Quartermaine. Diego didn't learn he was Alcazar's son until the year after Sage's death, but later read the journals and songs Sage left behind and felt terrible for her. Alcazar turned Diego into the cops for his crimes, but arranged for him to receive legal representation. Diego ran out of the police station and abducted Maxie's sister Georgie. He was ultimately caught and sent to prison, but returned to Port Charles in March 2006 and developed a relationship with Georgie, who'd divorced her husband Dillon and had been writing to Diego while he was in prison. Georgie invited Diego to her spring prom and had been writing letters to him in prison. He was in cahoots with Lulu Spencer to break up Dillon and Georgie so he could have a chance with Georgie. Diego and Georgie were in a relationship after Dillon took Lulu's word over his own wife's, but it was short-lived after Dillon found out Lulu had lied. Like Sage, Dillon used Lulu for sex, and Diego was left behind by Georgie.
In November 2006, Diego was working with Alcazar to try and stop Sam McCall, Jason Morgan, and Damien Spinelli. This included Diego shooting at them, which provoked Sam to shoot Diego in self defense. This made Alcazar hate Sam and Jason even more.
In February 2008, Diego was revealed as the Text Message Killer who has been stalking the citizens of Port Charles since September 2007. The killer was known to have injured ribs, and Diego was shot in the chest. Also, Kristina saw the killer, and was traumatized and rendered mute, the same reaction she had when Diego was shot.

I think Diego thought he was Luis Alcazar's son but found out later was actually Lorenzo's (can anyone verify that?) I know Diego went nutso to avenge his cousin Sage's death, blaming all the tweens- Maxie, BrookLynn, Georgie, Dillon- and going after (at least) M&BL by drugging them and taking photos- I don't think there was a rape but he was stalking Maxie for awhile.
While he was in jail for these crimes, Georgie wrote him lettters and kept his "spirits up". When he got out of jail he went to tell Georgie he loved her but she was married to Dillon already.
So Diego and Lulu conocoted a plan to break up Dillon and Georgie. They did a bunch of things to push Georgie & Dillon apart, ultimately setting Georgie up to see Dillon making love with Lulu.
After this Georgie & Diego did grow closer & they even tried to be in a relationship but Georgie kept floudering & finally told Diego she needed to be on her own.
Around this time Diego was also pushing to get more involved with Alcazar's family business, he became reckless after Georgie told him they had to be just friends.
Spinelli got kidnapped by Alcazar's men, Jason & Sam were looking for him, Diego went after Jason in an Alcazar warehouse, Sam saw Diego shooting at Jason, she shot Diego.
Lorenzo was the one who found Diego, took his pulse & began very quick arrangements for a funeral back in South America. Leaving town literally right after Diego's death, with Skye pregnant at home. I wondered then if they were leaving a door open to bring Diego back...
I'm just bummed they walked him through another LAME SL door. It would have been much more fun if they made someone else the TMK....
yeah he was alcazars son ans sam shot him when he was shooting at her and jason he is back killing all the people to take vengence for his family members who were killed
If I hadn't read the spoilers, I wouldn't have known it was Diego. (started watching again just before he was shot) I thing the writers could have done a better job of building up the Diego storyline. That one little bit with Jerry and Jason just before Diego revealed himself seemed like an add on to explain the writers last minute decision to make Diego the Killer.

Diego is Lorenzo's Son, he did not know about him til a few years ago when he came into contact with an old girlfriend who had been living as Diego's sister when she was really his mother....his cousin Sage was Luis' daughter, he killed Georgie and Tried to kill Maxie because they locked her in the Q's walk in freezer which lead to her death. He Killed Emily just because she was Jason's sister, he tried to kill Alexis because she killed Louis and he is trying to Kill Sam because Sam "Killed him" and he didn't mean to kill Leticia the nanny he was going after Carly who was married to Lorenzo. he didn't really die in that warehouse he had a faint pulse and Lorenzo took him off to South America to heal and now that he is well again, he is out for revenger. He got in some trouble on the PCU campus drugging girls and taking their pictures, not much of a scoop now for the last 3 years we have all thought him to be dead.
He 1st dated Ned's daughter BrookLynn, then wanted MAxie and Georgie, he never really had a girlfriend. HE turned stalker and spent time in prison. Daddy noticed a pulse at the shootout and sent the cops away so he could deal w/ the body and sent him to Venezuela to heal.
