Why is everyone saying that it is unfair that Carly Smithson is on American Idol!
Question: Wow she had one little CD out that sold only 350 copys. So she went on American Idol she can really she will probaly be in the top two. So why is everyone hating on her? If you had the chance to make a Cd you would. and then you would want to go on American Idol to get more publicity and you know if you were in her position you would do the same exact thing. Do you agree? and for the haters out there what lame excuse for hating her can you come up with now. oh and answer the same positon question too haters.

I feel she has as much right as anyone else to be there. The rules say that you cannot have an existing contract..which she does not. We've had other people, back up singers, etc that all had previous professional experience. I am sure it is because Randy Jackson is associated with the record label she had her contract with all those years ago. I hope she goes to the top 5!
because american idol is supposed to be for "underdogs," people without any professional experience. Nowadays, however, most of the people on there have had professional help and stuff like Carly. Another reason why she is not liked is because whatever the record label that she was signed to (i cant remember the name), Randy Jackson was like the senior vice president so its just unfair and seems like a scam that she made it to american idol, good voice or not. The show should be won from someone who has not had past experiences with record labels and stuff. They should just sign her on the side and highly publicize it this time and let a true "underdog" win.

She was ONLY 15 when she made her album and now she`s like 20. Its been about 5 years ago. People are just going to find ways to get them disqulified(spelling?).
she worked w/ randy jackson at mca records, mca was the record company she was at.
cause she was a pro singer in england. and american idol is for no pros
