Are you watching Brucie's?!

Question: While you have to take your hat off to the professionalism and longevity of the Brucester,

Perhaps the most famous London Palladium episode took place during a strike by the British acting union Equity, who refused to allow its performers to appear that week. Exempt from this, Bruce Forsyth and comedian Norman Wisdom appeared in the entire show, improvising wildly to the delight of the audience.

Does that mean he had to cross a picket line and does it make him a scab? And if he was once a scab, is he always a scab?

Similarly, he was once voted Male Chauvinist of the Year for employing his wife, Anthea Redfern, as his skivvy on the generation game. Do we say once a Male Chavenist, always a chauvinist?

Or do we forgive and forget because he is still such a good tap-dancer?
