Question: whats with this clare bates. i don't watch eastenders as much as i used to because i don't have the time, but i've recently kind of got back into it. whats up with this character? she keeps writing things in a diary and i read she arrived by being thrown from a car.

shes some old people that used to be in eastenders child.
She is the daughter of Nigel Bates who used to live with dot and then they moved to scotland (no accent!)
I think she had a nasty bang to her head when they through her out the car lol......What I think she is doing in her little black book is totaling up all the so called elligible men in the square so she can get money from what i can gather, but she is a mean critter lol.
well she was the goody-two-shoes girl next door when she was in it about twelve years ago. same actress and everything. she lived with her stepdad, who nobody knows what has happened to. but to me it just seems like she is the exact same character as when she played claire in hollyoaks
