Will there be gilmore girl season 8?!
Question: No, it had its series finale in May 2007. Alexis Bledel wouldn't sign for another season, and Lauren Graham refused to continue without her. The low season 7 ratings did not help the situation. Amy Sherman Palladino does have plans to write a movie for Gilmore Girls, but that remains a maybe since nothing is written yet :)

I don't think so..I think they did the series finale already.
I remember reading this in the spoilers section of gilmoregirls.org:
"CW and WBTV released a joint statement noting the passing Thursday morning. "Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. No. sorry but the series finale was last may at the end of season seven. it ended on a happy note with good things happening to every character. Rory went on the campaign trail for Obama and dumped Logan after he proposed to her. Lorelei ended up with Luke. After Luke helped save Rory's graduating party after it was almost rained out. so that is pretty much it. so there will be no season 8 sorry.
I wish!! It ended last season.
