What happened in the showdown between Rosie O'Donnell and Elizabeth in The V!
Question: Rosie never got fired, she only signed on for one season and there was only a few weeks left on her contract so she bailed. Before the big blow up ABC tried to get her to sign on for more but she didn't want that. They would have happily and quickly thrown Elisabeth under the bus, out of the plane, out the window, whatever to keep Rosie. As far as the media and the public are concerned Elisabeth was a nobody until Rosie came along.
Rosie asked Elisabeth point blank if she believed that she thought our troops were terrorists. This was not about what Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly thought of her or whether or not Rosie could defend herself. For Rosie it was about friendship.
Rosie tried too hard to be E's friend even going as far as giving her and her husband the gift (I can't remember what the occasion was for) of letting them stay in her mansion in Florida for a couple of weeks. She'd invited them to her home. She'd taken them to Broadway shows. This was about saying "No, my friend Rosie does not think our troops are terrorists". Why would you ever accept gifts or go to someone's home who thought our troops were terrorists??? What does that say about you?

Rosie made another bold opinionated statement. Then Rosie got mad that Elizabeth got kinda closed mouthed about it instead of backing her up. Rosie accused Elizabeth of being too afraid to back her up. That was the basic gist of it.

Rose accused Elisabeth of not standing up for her with the pundits about her saying she supported the troops. She bashed our President every day. Elisabeth said she's an adult, and that she could stand up for herself. Ro took it personally and quit (got fired) shortly after.

Rosie pretty much spoke the truth...if she was the little blonde one, everyone would be backing her up instead of insulting her looks....listen to the words, people...rosie made sense!
