Lost fans--I just read on Lostpedia that there will only be 5 new episodes after!
Question: So we are only getting 13 new episodes this season instead of 16. I understand why they are doing that, but who else is bummed out by that?

I'm curious why they couldn't go ahead and do the last three - even if it does take the show into the summer months. Guess it has to do with schedules and availability of cast, crew and writers.
In any case, the article you mentioned does say the five new episodes will contain plot elements to end the season as originally intended, and the other three will be tacked into season 5 or 6 for the complete run of 48 - so we're not really losing anything.

13 is much better than 8. Can't say I'm too bummed about it, now you can call it an actual season length season. I'm hoping we do gain those other three episodes in the two upcoming seasons.
I'm not bummed out about that at all--I'm just glad that the strike ended and that we're getting more than the 8 episodes that had been previously filmed. 5 more is fine by me! : )
I am pissed! I feel ripped off! But on the bright side, does that mean the season 4 DVD's won't be so expensive?!
I've herd that and although the writers say that they will be able to do a good job with only 13 episodes you never know what they are going to cut out of the season because theres not enough time. I'm definitely depressed, I love lost and will miss not having the 3 episodes.
I will be soooo upset when this show comes to an end. This is the only tv show that I watch and I think its the best!!
