I never thought a story could intrigue me this much.

I've heard two plausible explanations of the monster. One suggestion is that it is Satan (serpent like in the form of black smoke) or a judge of some sort being that the lost island is the garden of Eden and the Adam and Eve skeletons from season one are there. It's a good testament that Lost involves a central theme of faith.

The other suggestion revolves around science or science fiction. It involves the concept of mirror matter in which a smaller world, with only the island and water in it, is rotating inside the larger real world and moves around to different locations of the larger world. It supports other theories like vile vortices and parallel worlds that some mention on this site. The monster is a mixing of mirror matter or matter in the larger world mixing with matter in the lost world and the distortion is black smoke.

Ben is obviously playing mind games with the 6. I don't think Claire is dead nor are a lot of the other oceanic survivors still on the island, but the 6 seem to think that all the other survivors are dead except Sayid who is working directly with Ben. Hurley doesn't seem to know or think the other survivors are alive until Abbadon mentions it. Jack is kind of gray on this, he has secrets, but by the end we know he wants to go back.

I get in trouble too for going boar hunting with Desmond

Wow, maybe you guys should turn off the tube and get out more. What a ridiculous thing to fight over...

I absolutely LOVE the show. My husband and I watch each episode twice now since they always show the previous episode before the new one. I like to read the little commentaries on the previous episode. Anywho, we haven't exactly argued. I wish my husband wanted to discuss it... but he just likes to sit back and see what happens. I'm the one who does all the wondering!

Thanks to your question... I'm going to search for some Lost discussion boards! :D

if the show causes a fight, its not the show, its you 2. BUT my husband and I discuss Lost in depth as well.

haven't figured on the monster yet UNLESS they are in a different time. How can the other polar bear in the desert be explained ?

Kate wasn't being blackmailed to be kept safe though in last nights episode and either was jack. I think Syaid wants revenge and thats why he's working with Ben.

All I know is last night when Kate said Aarons name when she picked him up, my damn mouth hit the floor, this means claire doesnt survive either.

I think the airline wreckage being found in the one episode is a cover up.

dang you get me talking on this and I can go all day,lol

and why and HOW did BEN get all this money !

TV sucks, turn it off.

Is the makeup sex good at least?

People have been discussing, arguing, theorizing, equivocating, and anything else you can come up with since this show began. I even argue with myself. And last night just absolutely blew me away, I just *Knew* I knew who Kate's baby was, it was Sawyer of course; and that's why Jack didn't want to see him, but since he was her baby, well you just have to take the whole package. But when she said "Hello Aaron", I couldn't even move. I just sat there with my mouth hanging open looking an absolute fool. Gotta give these people credit - they keep us on our toes.

I do think the whole missing 31 minutes thing is extremely important and may even explain the polar bear in the desert. Einstein taught us that time is relative, and anyone who's watched any sci-fi movies about space travel knows that the theories of time being different in space have some validity. We know the Island has strange properties - I believe it's the reason Oceanic 815 fell out of the sky - a magnetic field of some kind, and why the helicopter went down, etc. So what if the Island isn't necessarily anchored on the ocean's floor; what if the Island travels in time too? I know it's out there (trust me I *Know* it's out there), but after 3 full seasons, and this one, the only thing I'm sure of is that whatever the answer turns out to be will be "out there".

it is sooooooooo intriguing and me and my boy argue sometimes too hahahha
