Like everyone has said, the strike is over. But it takes quite a few weeks to get shows going again; they have to be written produced and edited. The site below is always updating with current information about when shows are coming back. As it states, GG should be back April 21st, with five new episodes. I've also heard they are considering making more episodes to air over the summer.

The strike ended over a week ago.

the strike has finished
it was because people were downloading the programs off the internet so it ment the writers got no money
but they are getting a bigger percentage now
so shows will be coming back soon

The strike was lifted last week. The Writers Guild and the studios have reached a tentative agreement. The ratification vote is on 2/25 (Tuesday).

There is a small chance that the contract could be rejected by the members (unlikely, considering the members voted by at 92.5% margin to lift the strike before ratification of the deal).

The main issues of the strike were DVD residuals and New Media areas (streaming video from websites and downloads from places like iTunes). The deal is not perfect, but it's beter than a lot of people thought they could get.

TV shows are going to be returning on a show-by-show basis, depending on the production schedules. Most shows have started pre-production work but have not brought the actors back in -- they have to write scripts before they can shoot.

The sitcoms should be back first with new episodes. I believe shows like The Office are coming back in early April. Dramas will take longer because of the amount of post-production, but most will be back.

Some shows are not returning until fall, like Private Practice and Pushing Daisies.
