Question: near as talented as last years contestants?
I reallllly think this years contestants can't hold candles to last years talent.
Melinda, Blake, Phil and Jordin are phenoms compared to what I have heard over the last 2 nights.
What do you think? Do we have an diamond in the rough talent or will someone step up and blow us out of the water?

This years group is a going to be hard to watch. Last year Melinda should have won period!! No one else.. The guy who sang Light My Fire last week is my pick to win.
I think Asia'h or Syesha will. I also like Kady, Alaina, Michael
I love DAVID ARCHULETA! He is amazing and I really hope that he wins!
Last year there was more stage presence. But I do believe there are a few that can do really well. David A, that little guy, he is just awesome on stage. But I do believe the guys are better than the girls this year, so far. Hopefully the rocker nurse goes away soon, that voice is like fingernails on a blackboard to me.
i think we have some great talent this yr...its just too early for me to decide...i wanna give them a chance...this week was just the breaking of the ice and the nerves got the best of most of them....we'll see as time goes by....
I love more this season than the 6th..honestly
I felt let down with the Tuesday night performances as far as poor quality - - blame the judges for a certain favoring of looks over singing charisma / / I know that there will be a winnowing out of the weaker girl singers over these next two elimination rounds - - I would prefer at some point that there could be some intentional match-ups by having the medium-talented performers do the same song (two already have done this with "I love you more today than yesterday" - - Chekezie and Alaina Whitaker).
I think this is a good group. Wait 'til we hit the top 10 and have weeded out a few more. I think David Archuleta is awesome and if he can choose good songs and keep his stage presense, he could be a star. I think the voices are, for the most part, better this year than last year. And I think the guys are stronger this year, than the girls.

At the moment,no one really knows for sure who is amazing and who is just ok.I mean,at this stage(top 24),they're all pretty much the same in every season.But as it gets closer and closer to eventually deciding the top 12, I think the contestants are gonna get better and better.There is potential for sure in a lot of the contestants..but we'll wait and see i guess
this year stinks they picked a bunch of dumb blonde clones and fruity looking "men".. Look at these ppl they were picked more for their look than voice... I think they stink to high heaven.
