Did you watch tonights episode of Lost? feb 21st 08?!
Question: Ok so I'm confused and I'm going to go back and watch the episode again but I wanted to see if someone else picked up on something I missed. I apparently missed what was said about Jack's tattoo. And i'm confused about Kate's child! Have they said how long they have been back from the island yet? Or did I miss it. Now I'm confused because why would jack not want to see the child unless he's sawyers? And then this child "Eric" is at least 3 yrs old so does that mean that they have been back that long or does that mean that she had him before she crashed? They made it seem like the name Eric was so significant at the end of the episode, is there something I'm forgetting about who he is? And if I'm not mistaken they did advertise that we would find out who the 6th person was right? And I didn't miss that did I? Or did they say?
I'm not expecting people to have all these answers more or less I'm just rambling about the things i'm confused about and wonder if other people are confused

Its Aaron, Claire's baby....not "eric".
No no no! The child's name wasn't Eric, it was Aaron! It was Claire's baby! That's why it was so old and blonde!
And right now the only survivors that we know of are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Ben (if you count him being a survivor). I didn't hear anything about Jack's tattoo, either... I might have missed that part but we already knew about Jack's tattoo from a previous episode.
She didnt call him Eric. She called him AARON!!!
Which is why Jack didnt want to see him-- they're all telling lies. The Oceanic "Six" are apparently the ones that survived the crash, but we all know many more survived it. The story they're telling people in the real world is not the true story about what happened to them.
ok...you have the kids name wrong...its Aaron as in Claire's baby on the island. He is the 6th person in the Oceanic 6. Kate is now the "mother" of Claire's baby in the future. Claire must of died or stayed on the island.

baby is Aaron!!! as in Claires baby aaron. for some reason, Kate has aaron. and my theory is that Jack must have found out that Claire was his sister and thats why Jack doesnt want to see Aaron.....maybe?
and jacks tattoo was mentioned in a previous season. he was in a foreign country and got a tribal tattoo, if i remember correctly.
In the flash forward, we found out that kates child is Aarron (not eric), Claires baby, so Claire must have died on the island or something, and kate is taking care of the kid
and based off of Aarron's age in the flash forward, i am guessing, this flash forward is about 2 or 3 years after the present time on the island
As people have said, the kid's name was Aaron.
As to why Jack didn't want to see the kid, I'm guessing that the Oceanic 6 did something to betray the people that stayed behind, and so he didn't want to be reminded of anything. Hurley has a guilty conscience too.
