Would House M.D. on FOX be appropriate for a 12 year old?!

The serious medical stuff would be bad enough
And on top of the the medical mystery itself is often....odd and would be quite hard to explain to a kid.(to try to explain something like..'sometimes when people are born their twin is stuck inside of them unknown at all..only to die decades later'...would be quite hard.)
And way on top of that House himself is not a good role-model. Kids are not gonna get that he is a 'rebel good guy', they will just see the crude, mean stuff he does.

yes. they might not get all of house's jokes and the medicine might go fast, but I started watching house when it came on (I was 13 at the time) and it was my favorite tv show! it doesn't have sex scenes, drinking, or drugs all the time like other popular dramas do, and it's funny. it also got me more interested in science because the medicine. it actually shows an animated version of what happens in the body, so it's much more medical oriented than other medical shows (like Greys, even though I love that show too!) so, yes, definitely appropriate.
I would let my mature 12 year old watch House even though Im sure there would be bits and pieces they wouldnt understand.
