Question: So. Is time moving at a different rate on the island or is the island at a different point in time that the rest of the world?

I would say from Daniels little experiment with the 'payload' that there is defenetely some sort of time shift on the island which would explain why people cannot find it and did you notice that the helicopter pilot was told to make sure that no matter what he must keep on the same bearing as they came to the island on. Ben also gave Michael and Walt the bearings to.

This new season is really exciting I think. We are finally getting some more answers. Even though we are posed with new questions it has given Lost a whole new spin and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

WHO KNOWS !!!
I think the writers need to get on with telling us some actual information that makes sense.
I love Lost, but I'm getting annoyed that it has a million little strands of storyline with no conclusions.
(Rant over.)

I think I know what you mean.... the three past series have been over 3 years but in Lost time it has only been about 3 months.... or do you mean something to do with flashbacks/flashforwards?

It's still 2004 on the Island.

A lot of science has been thrown in our face as of late. My belief is based on a theory I read, but I won't delve into it in case you're not wanting to read into it. I say two possibilities. I agree with time moves at a different rate on the island than in the real world. With all the science thrown in our face you argue it has something to do with the theory of relativity which causes the time wrinkle. It's a theory by Einstein I believe and has something to do with traveling at the speed of light or beyond, time will be distorted when you stop. I say this all without looking up sources, so don't let me make you think I'm completely right on that one.

Yes!!

The plane crashed on September 22, 2004 (the date of the pilot episode), and the last episode (The Economist) was the 94th day of the Losties being on the island, it's now Friday December 24th, 2004.

For all we know, time is moving at the same rate... but this is Lost we're talking about.

Also, there's a recent theory about time difference.

Me thinks there's a time portal of sorts.

I still stand by my original theory and i have seen it thrown around by others also so maybe it is a good guess of some sort.

They have found the Garden of Eden / paradise / shangri la. Which is in another dimension / vile vortice / triangle.
For me this would explain why everyone wants it so bad.
Why women cannot be pregnant and the body rejects it.
The original findings of two bodies -- Adam and Eve.
The smoke is the snake of eden, damning all that have sinned etc etc.

There are a heck of alot of other questions and answers but i believe that is my major theory.

The theroies out there are amazing and i love that so many have put in time and effort to come up with ideas. It's TV that makes you think hard and i love it.
I love all the websites, webisode's and theories.

It just rocks man!!

yes

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!
Everyone's all "ooh it's Claire's baby!"
Damn, people!
Didn't anyone realize Aaron's almost 3??
Everyone else (Oceanic 6) Looks OLD!!

It's got to have something to do with the time!
