Why is there so much cooking on TV (UK)?!
Question: Because it is cheap, cheap, cheap. The British like nothing better than to be told they are useless. As a Brit, my beloved Granny taught me to cook, I taught my kids, they both love cooking. I do not need some smart *** who is paid a fortune telling me how to make an omelette, or a souffle, or a sorbet. Just fancy words for something we already know about. A juis, is a watered down sauce, sauce is a gravy,a ramekin is a small baking dish, a rosti is left over veg fried up in a metal ring. "Seasoning" is salt and pepper, herbs are anything that grows in your garden. Chefs are the new celebs, any b****r with half a brain can cook. Some just choose not to and watch this heap of s***e instead. "Get out in that kitchen and rattle those pots n pans" lol.
