My tv works fine for a few days,then it stops working. After a few days not work!

Question: My tv plays fine for a few days,but then it shuts down for a few days for reasons I do not understand.
After being idle for a few days,it begins to function again. I do not know if it has anything to do with some kind of switch. What can be done to resolve this problem?
