Question: by the fact that this season boasts a lot of contestants that have already cut records, had recording deals, been on tv shows, won modeling competitions etc? Isn't this an amatuer singing competition? There don't seem to be any real amatuers this year?

Yeah, it annoys me too. I thought the whole concept of the show was to give undiscovered talent a shot, not people who've had their chance and failed.
I agree & I don't like this season. I probably won't watch it.
