there is no doubt that James T Kirk was the best, you can't help but love the shatner! but in the more modern re workings of trek I really like Janeway, I don't think voyager is the best series but I have to back her as she was the first televised star trek captain who was a woman and you have to admit she was a pretty ballsy captain. I feel bad for Jonathan archer he spent the whole first series just saying "I'm an explorer from the planet earth and I'd like to know more about your people." before his ship got shot at...
