It was a victim of the writer's strike. According to TV guide, now that the strike is over, Grey's Anatomy is tentatively expected to shoot 5 new episodes to air in April/May. They also list a lot of other shows.
The writers strike. The strike just ended though, so it should be back relatively soon.
i read somewhere that even though the strike i over there wont be any new episodes until April, due to the time it takes to produce and edit the show.
but hopefully it will be sooner.

Writers have been on strike with lots of shows like Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Two and a Half Men, etc. But the writers strike has just ended. Shows like Bionic Woman will come back in the fall and shows like Desperate Housewives is comin back this Spring. I'm not sure when Grey's Anatomy is comin back.

What We're Hearing: Grey's will go back into production this season and is expected to produce a handful of new episodes to air in April and May. And yes, Josh Jackson is expected to finally fulfill his guest-spot duties as Cristina's love interest. So, yes, there is a god.
