This is a real song I Ran by an 80s band called Flock of Seagulls. He just filmed it with the cast of SNL.

It was done as a sketch to lampoon the visit by Mahmoud Ahmedinejad when he came to New York to speak, by invitation, at Columbia University, which was a very controversial visit.
They used Ahmedinejad's own personal political views (scary as they are) to serenade/mock him.
