Days Writers: Do they think we have short term Memory loss?!
Question: It really bothers me, when they forget or ignore things that we as long time fans know...
FOR EXAMPLE:
a) Sami was raped by that blond college guy way back when, you would have thought MAYBE she wouldn't get over EJ's raping her quite so easily?
b) Marlena is possessed, Roman is "killed", Sami is raped, John has had everything happen under the sun to him, Marlene is the stalker (I could go on and on)... ... and all this time... all this time Eric still is in Colorado...with his grandparents.. lol
c) Billie used to sing, I remember when Lisa Rina was Billie, the heart wrenching "I can't make you love me" she sang...
d)Ms. Evans plays Mimi's mom (hated it) and NOBODY in Salem remarks how much she looks like Adrienne? Then they bring her back as Adrienne to NO storyline? *sigh*
e) How by some miracle of time warp Shawn D, Phillip and Belle are the same age? lol must be the FUNNIEST one

i love jack but every1 just forgot he raped kayla. he is loved by so many in salem for being jen's good guy husband. but he did so many terrible things as a devrough in the mid '80s.
kayla married her sister's ex-husband. did they just forget. the last time kimberly popped by she said shane and kayla were happy with their kids. what happened to 'their kid' and are we suppose to forget that happened.
how can brady be so old. shawn-d is supposed to be close to sami and will's age and be way older than belle, phillip, mimi, brady and chloe. i always thought mimi's mom looked like adrienne.
i hated the 'tale of 3 romans' sl they had a few yrs back when they brought back the original roman back as a doctor who was trying to kill marlena. it was a dumb sl and it wasnt fun seeing all 3 of them on screen together.
sami disguised as a man sl was horrible and nonsensical.
i hated the princess gina/ baby switch sl they had a few yrs back too. i hated what it did to lexi's character. she used to be the doctor, fun, good wife of the police chief then they turned her into this tramp cheating on her husband and turned her into the spawn of her father.
i'm saddened by how bad the writting has gotten over the years.compared to the 80's and early 90's the sl's we get today are pure crap.

I watched Days from '94 to '98 I had to quit watching it because they DRAAAAAAAGED storylines out. I wanted Bo to pick Billie instead of Hope. (she bugs me) he didn't. I got sick of the DeMira's. I wanted Jennifer (Horton) to pick Peter instead she went back to Jack and made HER all apologetic when Jack Was the one who walked out on HER.
I can understand your confusion but you must remember that it is just a story and not real life. Also writers change and perhaps they think we will not notice these inaccuracies!
Yes. Another one that has always bugged me is how Stefano cottoned up to Andre even though Andre MURDERED Stefano's daughter Renee. Even though Stefano was heartbroken when Renee died he apparently eventually forgot all about her. I guess time does heal everything. It's kind of an insult to us long-time fans that they don't keep things consistent. They probably think we all have short and long-term memory loss. Another thing that bugs me is how they have the actor who played Chris Kositchek now playing Roman. If you're going to replace an actor make sure it's not with one who has previously played a different character on the same show.
