Guiding Light story lines moving too fast?!

Question: Is it me or has Guiding Light seemed to move too fast in the past 2 weeks? I must really have missed a LOT or something. It just seems like there are holes in the story or something. I mean one day Beth was going into labor and the next she is home with Rick and the next she is having the baby baptized and Josh and Reva saying she's Alans? And I went from one day Alan taking Sara and grabbing Jonathan to Alan holding a gun in the church and Jonathan is in the church?
And Olivia in the bathroom trying to get out and the next day I see her on the couch and I never saw her get rescued?
I'm like am I missing segments between the commercials or did I blink? I don't know, I just don't know why I suddenly missed so much or if it's just moving way too fast lately? The last couple weeks just seems like it's moving too fast. I know it doesn't help that I had to pick up my kids 4 days in a row this week and miss the last 20 min of the show each time. Maybe that's when I missed it all.

GL has been moving very fast these days. But, IMO, its a good thing. They don't seem to be focusing on the little nitty gritty things that really don't matter that much anyway. Its a story - a fantasy world - pretty much what you see is what you get.

Beth went to San Gabriel to stop Alan from rushing back to Springfield to confront Jonathon and see Baby Sarah...she lied to him, telling him that she loved him, that she'd made a mistake by marrying Rick. This was all a ruse to keep him on S.G. She called Lizzie really quickly while Alan went into the kitchen to fix her something to eat and told her what was going on. The next day, just as Jonathon arrives on the island to kill Alan, Beth goes into labor.......all very plausible. As for then the next day, Beth being home in Springfield, getting ready for the babys christening...I did think it was a little fast...but then people leave for someplace far away - the soap goes to commercial and when it comes back - BOOM...they've arrived overseas or wherever it is they were going very quickly. You just have to accept it as being part of what happens in Springfield. This is 2008.

Olivia was locked in the bathroom at the Bauer cabin by Natalia who wanted to keep her there while her and Gus got married. Just as Natalia left the cabin, Olivia gets the call that there is a heart waiting for her. Gus and Nat get married and he checks his phone, only to find that he has missed calls about Os heart.....Nat confesses to him that she locked O in the bathroom - right before the ceremony, she told Rafe what she had done, and the plan was for him to go to the Bauer cabin immediately following the ceremony and let O out of the bathroom.

Once Nat confessed to Gus what she had done...they raced up to the cabin and let O out of the bathroom. Gus got really ticked off at Nat for doing what she did. It was cold but Nat was just trying to finally get married - Gus understood the why but questioned the how...

Things do happen on soaps pretty fast these days.

If you saw the part where Jonathon got a text supposedly from Lizzie telling him to meet her with Sarah at the Bauer cabin so that they could run away.....when in fact it was from Alan so that he could get Jonathon to the cabin...take Sarah and make Jonathon promise to leave Sarah there, leave town and never come back....I'm sure you too wondered, why didn't Jonathon just look at the # it came from and see that it didn't come from Lizzies phone?

That possibility instantly entered my mind as soon as Jonathon read that text.....but we were all just supposed to go with it anyway.......it is what it is and I have been loving GLs storylines for about the last six months....

Find the website that writes about it daily and just go catch up that way.

Natilia went a little too far. Cassie I understand she thought she was doin something good but it wasnt I kinda want to see lizzie and jonthan make it work compared to her and billy he is a butthead. Alan my god lets hope he doesnt destroy another family member( I just started to watch guiding light before tammy died) I hope tommy p stays he is the reason I like guiding light so much lately

that's the 1st time i've heard that about a soap ever. lol.
but i think u're right. johnathan jus got back but it feels like a long time cuz of everything that has happened since he got back. they are moving a bit fast with some sl's and others arent moving at all.

i havent gotten my coop and ashley (coopley) fix in wks, and showing them with the cooper family doesnt count. they are the reason i started watching GL again and i only get to see them once or twice a month, which sucks!

if u miss segements or epis u can watch them on youtube. click on the link and subscribe to the channel. there are other fan channels too u can jus do a search.
