Why do people cry during movies or TV shows?!
Question: Why do people get so attached to tv show characters and cry when they die off? Or when something happens in a movie? Why do we act as if we were in the scene?

because we get so attacked and even i cried when charlie died in Lost, such a good t.v. show, i love that guy!
it's something called catharsis. we as human beings connect with an issue and put ourselves in that characters place and the emotion is brought out. Shakespeare was the first writer to ever achieve this.
maybe its something that happened to them in real life
I don't think I've ever actually cried while watching a movie
