Me! I watch the re-runs on TV Land. I wasn't born until 1968, but my mom got me into watching that show. I love it! Yes, Barney is hilarious. I like all the character's, though. Who knew little "Opie" would grow up to be a famous movie director :D And Andy is still alive and kickin'. RIP Don Knotts and Francis Bavier.
I also like Leave it to Beaver, especially the ones when Beaver and Wally are real young. (1957)
I love the one where Andy decides to take a day off and is worried about leaving Barney in charge. He assures Andy that he can handle any situation so Andy decides to take off. Within an hour Barney has locked himself in one of the holding cells! Classic, great show...

I consider Andy Griffith to be one of, if not the very greatest show ever made. Don Knotts (Barney Fife) won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor all five seasons he was on the show. Five wins out of five! That's a record that might never be broken. Andy, Barney, Aunt Bee, Opie, Otis, Earnest T. Bass, Floyd, Gomer, Goober, Thelma Lou, Helen, Howard, Emmitt, Darlings, are like family to me. Great question!
