The flight Oceanic 815 crashes into an unknown island. The survivors have to band together in order to have any hope of rescue because the island is treacherous and holds many secrets.

A summary will be 736497864 words long. There was a catch up show that was a hour long. I think it was called The Secrets of Lost. It might be on the dvds.

You have to watch every episode to know what is going on. Often they show scenes years before the crash so you get to know the characters and what secrets they may hide.

Rent out all the dvds and watch them quickly before the next episode is aired.

I love this show to death.

search for it at Wikipedia.
there are episode synopsises there.

You must watch it from the beginning. Rent the first 3 seasons or watch on abc.com. Lost is amazing!

you need to watch it from the start to get into it but once you have you will be hooked i have seen the first 3 seasons at least 3 times and i will go on watching it it is great

You have got to rent the first seasons, there is soooo much details it's impossible to list them to you. If you want to fully enjoy the Lost experience have a Lost marathon this weekend and watch all previous seasons.

Everyone is right - it would take a few books to tell you about Lost. However, there is a fan-based website, Lost-TV.com, where there are transcripts of every episode - last night's probably hasn't posted yet, but it'll be there. At any rate, if you're willing to read, you can find out everything that's happened since the plane went down.

Yes, you will have to get all the boxsets, it's impossible to explain everything that has happend; there are questions now in season 4 that still haven't been answered from season 1. It's the best show ever! you would not be disapointed if you bought all the season or rented from nextflix. Welcome to the club :)

try your local library---our library has all the dvd's that you can rent for free

It would be easier for you to watch it than to get it explained to you. Honestly, no joke!!!

ABC.com has all the episodes online to watch for free, even in HD formatting!!! Best wishes to you in getting caught up and CONGRATS on getting hooked on the show.

We got hooked when we watched season finale of Season 1, waited till they showed it again before season 2 and watched all the way through and have been HOOKED on LOST!!!! Great show, very confusing and hard to keep up with!

You have a lot of catching up to do. If I were you I would rent seasons 1,2,and 3.
