Why do people audition for Canadian/American Idol, even though they have little !
Question: It's amazing how many people TRY to sing and think they can be the next music superstar, but what's shocking is how surprised they are when they are told they need more practice or are hopeless singers. I'm not a professional musician, but at least I know tone and tune, and most of the auditioners seem tone-deaf to me. lol I'm sure many of you agree. it's entertaining watching the show sometimes, but the talentless singers start to get on my nerves...

its like when you hear your voice on an answering machine etc and you say 'i dont really sound like that do i?'.. people sound different in their own heads than to everyone else.. some of the people you are talking about must just sound REALLY different in their own minds hehe. but people seriously need to stop encouraging others who cant sing lol
haha its funny to watch, but in australian idol theres been people that have auditioned that live near me and most people just go on it to have attention, to be on tv and to say they were on it even if they sound like a broken record
cos they are stupid
and they get past the producers as the "joke" people
Because sadly some people are lied to. And people tell them they can sing cause they want it so badly and they don't want to hurt their feelings.
people are lied to because their friends & family members dont want to hurt them, and they get convinced they can sing. or they just plain think they can sing.
people are looking for their 15 minutes of fame, but unfortunately they are looking in the wrong place.
They go one either as a joke or because they really think they are talented, and they get to see the judges for the one thing this show is about, which you all need to realize: GOOD ENTERTAINING SUSPENSEFUL REALITY TV
