Well, this story really makes you wonder if it's rigged now, doesn't it? I'm so disappointed with this story because I really love the idea of American Idol (done the honest way). Joshiah should have been allowed to stay too - he was the most original and writes his own songs!! Did you hear that a radio station in Detroit (95.5) got him a job and a place to live? Cool, eh. He should replace Carly!!
If it were rigged I don't think that Sanjaya would have stayed on!!! He sucked! Why would the producers TRY to keep him on the show???
But I think she should be removed. Carly had her shot! Time to move on to the new talent!
Sanjaya was part of that group on the internet where one can vote for the worse contestant & keep them in. I don't think it's really rigged because you couldn't keep so many people traps shut!
I'm sure its fixed as much as it can be...

I don't think it proves that it is rigged but I do think it proves that there should be more research done on the contestants backgrounds before they are allowed to compete. She had a record deal in the past and they should have been able to find this out and she should have been removed before she made it to the top 24.
There is no way on earth Sanjaya could have won the whole thing. That would have proven the show was rigged. The kid couldn't sing period.
