Question: Celebrity Rehab on VH-1? What the hell happened to Jeff? I had such a crush on him when he was younger. My God that man is a mess. How did his addiction to pain pills start? I missed the beginning of the show so I just tuned in two weeks ago. Thanks.

in the first episode, jeff said his pain pill addiction started after he fell and landed on his back on the set of grease. it was during the scene when they sing "grease lighting". he said someone missed a move wihich fall hard on the car they were dancing on.
he claims he has had chronic pain ever since. he would go to doctor to doctor and get more and more pills.
in a later episode, he revealed as a child he was severely physically and emotional abused by neighborhood boys and sexually abuse by adults when he was going door to door selling stuff for an organization.

Omg, me too !!. When i watched the first episode i was so surprised. I had to check twice if it was him. Damn, what drugs to people ...
i dont remember what he said about why he started. theyll have a marathon soon, im sure.

Man Jeff is hurtin for certain! I don't know if he'll ever turn it around. I'm rootin for him too though!!! He was cool in the movie Grease.
I try to watch it when I can. I have no idea what happened to Jeff, but he certainly looks better than he did at the beginning of the show. I feel bad for Chyna/Joanie... That poor woman is a mess, which is too bad b/c she seems fairly nice.
I missed the first couple Of shows. I did not even know who he was until they said he was in Grease & Taxi.
Poor guy. I hope he can kick the habit and his darn girlfriend that brough vodka into the center. She will only make it harder for him.

They said he had had an injury that caused a lot of pain in his back, & over time he got addicted to the pain pills, & he was drinking as well. That fruitcake girlfriend is a big part of the problem--getting rid of her would do wonders for him. Jeff has come around remarkably--the 1st couple weeks, he was totally out of it from the drugs. I really have some hope for him now.

He was injured while doing a revival of "Grease" as someone said.
His first movie was as a druggie in "Jennifer on My Mind" (1971).
He's had problems for awhile:
