DO you remember a kids TV show fro the 80's called Finders Keepers ?!

Question: It was so tacky it was funny, the presenter used to open the show by singing the theme tune whilst playing a synthesizer. He was ginger with a bowl chop and a huge beard.

I can't find it on YouTube, maybe it never happened and I really have flipped ?

Richard Stilgoe and yes I do remember it. I can't remember what the quiz was about but I'm sure that it was pupils versus teachers.

Was it the show where they had a replica house and the kids would rummage around trying to find things and whatever they found they could keep?

I remember it was based on a book of the same name. The boy lived in this dimension and sometimes things would disappear and go to another dimension.
Looking for the book on Amazon, it says it's by 'Emily Rhodda' and has this as a description
"Patrick's skill at a computer game earns him a place on Finders Keepers , a positively dizzy and dizzying game show transmitted from a parallel dimension, in which Finders from our dimension win valuable prizes by hunting for objects that have accidentally fallen through a barrier from the parallel universe into ours. As Patrick struggles to win the computer he desperately wants, he is forced to learn a hard truth about valuing things over people."
