Who's dissapointed that the Writers are now coming back to work?!

Question: I sure am. That means garbage programing like Desperate Housewives & their ilk will now pollute the airwaves again. Guess it's back to reading books.

I'm glad that the writers are back to work. Basically it means that in April/May a good 41 shows are coming back with new episodes. I can't wait for Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Moonlight, Numbers, CSI etc... to come back. I'm glad that Survivor has returned, oh and next Monday the 18th. the new Dancing with the Stars cast is announced. Now that is good family T.V.

I'm Happy because my show is coming Back Law and Order SVU

I'm not dissapointed. Reality TV can start slacking off now.

Why would you be disappointed that thousands of people are getting their jobs back, just because crappy shows that you don't like are going to be new episodes instead of reruns, watch something else....

i'm not cuz heroes will soon be on again
I love HEROES!!!!

its dissapointing that wack shows will b on air again but i watch this new show women murder's club, it just started and because of the writer's strike they didnt air this at all and now i am happy that i will be able to see it again especially that i dont watch much tv.

um i agree that desperate housewives is crap but a lot of the other stuff is really good and i'm glad that they went back to work before the oscars otherwise they wouldnt have televised the oscars like the golden globes. i love reading books too but i'm glad that the writers are back and i hope that they got everything that they were asking for

I'm happy because it means they can get back to work on shows like Bionic Woman and Life!

I am not sad, I find myslef more likely to watch that Ike, when I have seen reruns for 3 time over now, I am glad that my shows will be back. It's not just the ike that will be back . there is some good stuff as well.

OH! They were on strike? Could have fooled me. I did not miss them at all.

Better stuff like Desperate Housewives than the reality tv crap they replaced it with. *shudders*

Enjoy your books. I reccomendJane Austen and Edith Wharton and Jasper Fford

I'm happy I'm tired of watching reruns or "realty TV" or game shows

This from someone who cites Three's Company as quality entertainment? Next to that, Desperate Housewives is Masterpiece Theatre. TV today is much improved over the 1970s and 1980s. Shows like Prison Break, Battlestar Galactica and Heroes are much better than The Dukes of Hazzard or Knight Rider ever were (much as I loved KITT and bought an 85 Trans Am because of that show). There's still crap (and I wouldn't throw DH in that category because the writing and acting are both great), but the quality shows are much better than they were 20 years ago.

On the book front, I recommend "The Guns of August" by Barbara W Tuchman - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guns_of... - a great analysis of WWI. It works well with Back to the Front: An Accidental Historian Walks the Trenches of World War I by Stephen O'Shea (see http://www.amazon.com/Back-Front-Acciden... for reviews). It's not exactly Three's Company, but it's still a good light read.
