American Gladiators...again?!

Question: So when you fal in the water after an event, how much time do you have til the next event. Venus fell in the water every event but she came out every time completely dry. do they go to the back and dry off and fix there hair then come back out? How long do the people watching stay in the building, if they have to sit through set changes and everyone showering after every event it must take more than a day to film one episode

Here you go. I was actually at the filming for both semi final episodes.

The way that they filmed the preliminary rounds was by event, they filmed one event in the morning and one in the afternoon, but they filmed all of those events for the entire round (for example, all of the hang toughs for all of the preliminary rounds were filmed at the same time), so at most, the contenders have one event in the morning and one in the afternoon. The preliminary round (all 6 rounds, so 5 episodes, since they showed 2 rounds in the premiere) took about a week to film.

The semi-finals and the finals had a much faster taping schedule. They taped the shows in a little more than two days (I'm not sure when they taped the Eliminators). The first day was Hit and Run and Powerball in the morning, and Hang Tough in the afternoon. Since the contenders that played Hit and Run didn't play Powerball, they had all morning before they had to compete again, probably about 2 or 3 hours. The second day was Gauntlet and Joust in the morning and Wall and Pyramid in the afternoon. Pyramid was unscheduled, so that was the fastest turnaround, Venus had about a half hour or so to dry off and get ready, but then again, she was the only contender to compete in Pyramid that got wet, everyone else made it to the top of the Wall.

The audience can stay as long as they want for the most part. I heard that some of the audience members were paid, and they had less freedom than those of us who just wanted to be there, so they were there for about 12 hours a day in some cases. Personally, I stayed for all of the events, so for the weekend, I was probably there for about 20 hours, but I'm not your normal fan.

Gladiators do not change between contenders. For example, if Siren goes into the water she has to face the next contender wet. There is only about a five to ten minute turnaround between various rounds of a single event, just enough to reset the field and do the interviews. This is slightly longer for Joust, since the process for getting Contenders and Gladiators up on the platform is really involved.

im putting you on my watchlist i asked myself the same question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know I;ve watched this a couple of times but for some reason it is not as good as the original so I may not stay tuned.

that's a very interesting question, I've always wondered that myself. I would have to say they do it over two days, but maybe not.

I think they head to the locker room after each event to ready themselves for the next event.

The old one can't be beat, but this one isn't bad at all...im a fan

I do not think they do change.....cause i think its Siren....she fell and she was still wet. It was on the latest show.....but that would suck if they had to wait..hahaha

ok well if say venus fell in the water for the next event they use another gladiator but if not she just does the next event too

if you watch the very end it says on the credits

"edited but does not change the outcome"

that means they edit all that time in between the events

like all the getting out and preparation for the field

my finace and i were wondering the exact same question!!!! and how do they get on the joust when it is surrounded by water and they are dry on the podium???? and how many changes of clothing do they have backstage??? soooo many questions that need to be answered!!!!! :)
