Do You AMC Fans Honestly Like The Return Of Jessie?!
Question: Nothing against the actor, I think he was great, but I think this is a desperate ratings attempt; just like with the return of Budig.
Come on it's so stupid even for soaps. Tad and Ryan were visited by his ghost so were they hallucinating? Please. AMC it's sad to say but it's going down the tubes.

I don't like it at all. I agree with your thinking that it's a desperate ratings attempt - like Budig. I don't like her either. I know I'll be ff thru the Jesse scenes. It's all been done and it's old. I guess they think we'll forget about Tad seeing Jesse's ghost. C'mon, we're not that dumb.

It's not the first time a soap has done this - Lila Q on GH was talking to Edward's "ghost" for a year before he returned. For me, I don't care how they bring him back - I'm just so glad to have the character Jesse Hubbard back, that they can just do anything with it.
It is a desperate rating attempt but at least the stories might pick up, they can explain tad's as him halucinating and needing to see him. I don't think it was Ryan who saw him, he doesn't know him, Jesse was Gillian's escort in Heaven when she died, don't know how they could explain that b/c Gillian was after Jesse's time, she never knew him or Travis or NAtalie who also met her there.
To be honest I think I am in the minority here but I never liked the character that much way back when. He and Angie did nothing for me on the show. Maybe this time around....

It's kinda 20 years too late for a meaningful and relavent return for Jesse.
It does make the show look desperate. And it makes the fans look silly as if we forgot Jessie was a "ghost" to Gillian and also Jenny I believe.
It's been done, re-done and now they;re tryting to do it yet again. Enuf. I don't like Jesse's returning at all.
I actually enjoy it. It's funny though how they made sure to have the current Greenlee situation involve interactions between her "spirit" and the "spirit" of others on the show to explain how Tad saw him as a "ghost" who wasn't really a "ghost". I think the storylines are bad right now because they are shaking up some storylines. Hang on, it'll get better.
I honestly hate it. Jesse should have stayed dead. His returning is so stupid.

AMC is desperate and it is a desperate move..... However, I stopped watching AMC regularly shortly after Dixie came back and its got me watching it again.... Having said that I think after Angie and Jesse get back into PV life I will probably stop watching again. Its a bandaid on the problems at AMC
as long as it keeps me interested. I don't care who they bring back.

it so-so only right now, if they would just let Angie and Jesse reuinte and explain who is after him, then it might get better but these lurking in the parking garage/cemetary etc. has got to stop. Why hasn't anyone see Jesse and reported him to the cops for stalking? (hehe--I don't mean one of the main players, one of the backgroud players should have seen him by now)
Hate it. If it weren't for Tad, AMC would be awful.
So what if it is a ratings getter, they all do that, not only soaps talk shows, sitcoms, all shows do that, it's nothing new. It is nice to go down memory lane, whether it be from 5, 10, or even 20 years ago, just to see how they, the characters have changed. Sure soaps are stupid and silly in some story lines, but they are not alone, have you noticed how dumb all these reality shows are?
I think it will draw curious former fans to tune in. In all soaps, they kill fan faves and bring them back. I think it can be a great thing. Esp. since killing him off was a terrible mistake - like in Edmond, Gillian and Dixie's cases back then. So much potential, so much history, make it go on vacation or take it off canvas, why destroy it? Anyway, Jesse's return will be great for AMC, once we get passed the initial re-introduction. Next they'll bring back Jenny.
