she was debbies daughter, debbie then married nigel, debbie then died and nigel was left to raise her. they hated each other at first but then became friends and then moved to scotland!!. i hope this profile can help.

Nigel was a friend of Phil and Grants , he got married to Debbie who worked in the bookies and she had a daughter called Claire. She is still played by the same actress, but now obviously 10 years older.

Claire was the daughter of Debbie and the step daughter of Nigel. Do you remember him? He was the guy with curly hair, a bit of a loveable dimwit, who wore clashing shirts and ties. He was friends with the Mitchell brothers having known them from his school days. He and Claire left Albert Sq after the death of Debbie when she was involved in a car accident - she got run over.
