I didn't really get it - how do they think they can convert everyone to freeganism? People have to buy stuff from shops in order that the shops stay open and carry on throwing things out. It just doesn't work. And yes - they did seem quite lazy.

What difference does it make if they arent buying food? Just because people waste food here- it doesnt mean people in the third world will have food! Its pathetic! You're right they are just lazy!!
Well looking through bins is fine if thats what they want to do, but it does bother me that they have the same use of the state, as I do and I pay tax.
However, thats what they are trying to work towards, everybody having everything without using any money. Wouldnt quite work like that though if everyone in the world joined their cult.

I didn't understand where they got the money from for the new van at the end of the programme because they said they didn't claim any benefits at all? And they were talking about moving possibly into a flat - so where are the finances coming from for all this?

I decided to go to bed a bit early last night and got completely sucked into this episode. As much as the "mooching" attitude hit a nerve with me..the "entitled" attitude really got to me. Fair enough, Nick has earned his income and the right to enjoy it as he sees fit, but this "disease" of giving children every little thing their heart desires wears me out. Some of my friends have maxed out credit cards, etc on 16th birthday trips to Vietnam, 400￡ on boots....these kids (I use this term very lightly) grow up without a clue of money and how it works. Many of them believe that credit cards with 33% interest is free money...jeepers Im preaching...sorry. With privledge comes responsibility.
