Most media reports are that Heroes will not return until Fall 2008.
As soon as it is over, all the shows are beginning again.
As soon as the strike is over, it will be awhile. Scripts need to be written (which can take weeks) then the show needs to be shot and finally edited before it airs.
It could be around 2 months at the very least.

No. I think they will just start writing for the Fall season. Whats the point in making another 3 or 4 episodes for the season? It ended with a cliffhanger anyway.

Nobody is sure. Tim Kring, the creator, has indicated that it won't be back until fall. Heroes has a huge amount of time spent in post production due to the special effects - one episode can take 4-5 weeks in post production. They may only have time to get out around 3 or 4 episodes before they have to start getting ready for fall. Due to the serialized and arc-centered nature of the show, there's a good chance they won't even bother because they can't do anything with that short of a story arc. They may just decide to focus on their return in the fall.
We'll know more once the strike is officially over. The networks will probably announce what's coming back when.
