A stand up comedy question?!

Question: As an aspiring stand up, I have seen and heard my peers performing their act, Im not trying to bash them, as at least they have the guts and art to write and perform comedy, but I havent found them FUNNY like I do someone like Jeff Dunhan or Jerry Seinfeld, so, humor wise, what is the difference between a professional standup comedian and a non pro

Practice, practice, practice!

The pros are better b/c they've perfected their act in front of many people, and they keep tweaking it until they get it right. That's why your comic friends don't seem quite so funny...

Simple, the pros are funnier

Pros get paid. Hence the term. And all pros aren't funny to all people. Comedy is pretty subjective. Keep working at it and good luck!

I can tell you honestly that the Pros mostly do straight comedy from their own life experiences, but the amateurs think they can go out and do it better than the Pros and end up making fools out of themselves and not being as honestly funny as the Pros. Another thing, if you can't laugh at yourself, you'll never make a great comic!

I think people are funniest when they're acting like they're not trying to be funny.

nothing its simple pro. costandup comedian laughed every one.but non prof. comedian only speak meaningless and bla bla bla........
