Question: OK, Shawn and Belle are not related right? Then why does Shawn Sr. have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save Bo from his terminal illness? Shouldn't it be Victor if he is REALLY Bo's dad? Kinda confused on this one. Thanks!

I thought the same thing! Maybe they're the same blood type or something. Who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if they do turn out to be father and son - it wouldn't surprise me at all if Shawn and Belle turn out to be cousins! I mean really, we are talking about a town that doesn't seem to care at all that an Uncle (Max) can date, not 1 but 2 of his Nieces (Chelsea and Stephanie)!!! And yes, I know he was adopted, but still that's gross!!!
Okay, lets see if we can figure this out. I think the writers are confused, too.
First, John died, then didn't die because of Stefano, who is actually his half brother, because Colleen, who died but didn't die, was John's mother with Stefano's dad while she was a nun. So Belle is related to both the Brady's and the DiMeara's. But Bo is Victor's son, so should have no blood relation to the Brady's or DiMeara's, but Shawn Sr. has to save Bo? Shouldn't it be Victor? There must be another relationship somewhere that we have missed. Maybe we need to know more about Victor's heritage to figure it out? I'm just going to keep watching to see just how convoluted this genealogy can get!!!!!!!
I read somewhere that something goes wrong with the plane and the oxygen masks drop. Bo tries to give Shawn, Sr. his but refuses...Bo eventually passes out and when he does, Shawn, Sr. put the mask on Bo and dies.
Nancy F has it correct. Shawn Sr. is going to die next week.
That is not what is going to happen. Apparently Johns plane is going to have turbulence on its way back to Salem. From what I have read the oxygen on board will be deleted and Shawn will give up his oxygen mask in order to save Bo.

Shawn and Belle are kind-of second cousins, but only by the virtue that Shawn is Bo's son, and Bo is biologically Victor's son, not Shawn Sr.'s. Thank God for Caroline and Victor's affair all those years ago or things would start to be getting icky!
If Shawn Sr. has to make some kind of sacrifice, it can't be something which only a family member can do because Bo and his pop aren't biologically related.
