Well first of all I had a revelation about one theory I've had for a long time. When they found the polar bear in the desert with the Dharma collar I suddenly realized how it got there. Ben and the others have the technology to create and use wormholes. Think Stargate, only in this case call it Earthgate. There are other secrets on the island, but this is a biggie. During the second season in the episode where Sawyer,Kate and Alex rescue Carl they knocked out a guard. The guard was reading Stephen Hawking's " A Brief History in Time" . As it happens I have that book in my library and I turned to the exact page the guard was reading, and it turns out he was reading about wormholes. It got me to thinking about how the others were able to come and go so easily in our world, because the submarine seemed limited in what it could do. They plucked Locke's father from out of where ever he was with no trouble, and told Locke they had some kind of magic box that could produce anything they wanted. Furthermore they gave Juliet a mickey and told her it would make her trip much easier. Then she wakes up on the submarine docked at the island. She is led to believe that, that is the way back and forth from the island. Of course I think they lied to her. Nevertheless I think the polar bear wound up in the desert because they were testing the wormhole and rather than sending a human through they used animals and isolated locations. Then there is this Daniel Faraday character who is a physicist and is part of the team that has just arrived. In real life there was a physicist named Micheal Faraday whose field of study was electromagnetism. He lived in the nineteenth century and showed that magnetism could be produced with electricty. However the wormhole works I am betting that electromagnetism will have something to do with it. Then of course there is the possibility that the Dhama people and the others did not originate the technology they were using and that some as yet not mentioned people did. This brings in the reason for the archeologist on the expedition. Finally there is the guy who claims to be able to talk to dead people. I've come to the conclusion that the island is haunted and he is there to communicate with inhabitants that have been dead for a long time. Perhaps these people are the ones who came up with the technolgy. As yet we do not know any more about the four toed foot and what it is all about. The Island seems to be littered with ruins that represent a previous group of inhabitants.

Well this is getting to be too long for some people to read but last night Gave me some insight as to where they are going,at least a little bit.I'm very excited to see what happens. By the way the wormhole is also how the plane was brought there to the island. However when it went through the wormhole they did not expect it to crash.

Damn i missed it , but sawyer is sooo damn hot !!! : )

ugggh! the commercials!! You watch 2 minutes of show then 4 minutes of commercials!!

But, it was a good episode.

They kicked off the new season off perfectly!
Last night was nice, i wonder WHY they want Ben?!?

crap, it was crap.

LOST is the best show on ABC. This season just get so exciting. I'm waiting for the next episode to come out.

I'm a little LOST after watching it ! So many questions and you know we aren't gonna get the answers right away either.

Like why are they showing the plane in tact on the ocean floor on TV News when we know it broke apart over the island and it's remains are on the island....?
Who are all those dead people on the plane in the ocean...?

It's a pretty good season so far. It's only been 2 episodes.
I hope we don't get left hanging in the wind with no answers to all the questions because of the writers strike . I know they had to stop production on the show and didn't finish taping the season before the strike started.
That will totally suck if we are left hanging !!!

It was awesome and I can not wait till next week. I have no clue what is happening but that is why I like it. I can figure out the other shows I watch but LOST is challenging!

Last night's episode was not my favorite. I think it was because of the new people. I know they have to bring in new people and it was interesting and all, but I really like to learn more about the main characters. I think this season is going to be great! It's already on a great start. As for the commercials, it seemed the same as usual.

watch it on line

i know that's right!!!
i think one commercial break was almost 6 minutes long! ridiculous!!
it was a great episode and i can't wait until next week when they reveal number 4 of the oceanic 6!

Well, I was a little frustrated that we have so many question and so few answers (as usual).

I would have been pleasantly shocked if Ben had just said to Locke, 'well, okay since you are holding a gun to my head the black smoke is blah blah blah'....it would have got us all talking and the writers keep saying we won't have to wait as long as we think for answers.....but where are they argggh lol.

But I still love the show and look forward to finding out more about the new characters and what they are doing on the island looking for Ben.

first of all!! fluffy!! your theory makes a lot of sense to explain this "traveling" the others did to out of the island and back...
pretty good theory!!

now... I have some theories of my own regarding some other stuff!!!
First... I always try to keep in mind that THE OTHERS and the dharma people are 2 different things!!
remember?? Ben's father worked for dharma, and so did Ben. we know that all the research and stations were set up by dharma... but Ben and the savage people (who already lived in the island before dharma came) killed them all!!!!

My theory actually is that since ben killed their people DHARMA was trying to go back to the island and fix things up. BUT ben closed the communication channels and made the island unplottable. I do believe though that Dharma never stopped looking. why would they?? come on... all those researches and work "stolen" from just under their nose. tey probably knew one day they would be able to find the island and communicate with them...
so they formed a team (however, how they know Ben is the guilty one, is beyond me... maybe because they might have already known he was the only one of their group who ran away (remember??? he was around 13 years old when he went to live with the savages)
Naomi was leading the team... and they have other reason for sending those other people.
And maybe that guy who talks to the dead is there just to talk to their dharma people who were killed by ben!!!

there is a thing going on online... about a guy... I forgot his name, who used to work on Oceanic (and remember!!! the plane had a DHARMA symbol on it, so maybe, OCeanic belongs to dharma)
and he lost his fiancee on flight 815. after a couple of weeks they suspend all search parties... and he just can't believe they did that. he never stops looking and I bet he might have made some noise. somehow I think it was important to OCEANIC to close that case, so made the whole story up. they picked a place, the sunda trench, and planted an airplane there...
but you guys saw that pilot on last night's episode... he knew the flight 815 pilot and knew the corpse they were showing was not him. (maybe that's why he was picked to go to the island?!?!) so I think they actually did that to throw people off of that area where the plane actually crashed so then dharma can perform their own search, their own way, based on all the thngs they know about the island and about what happened there. and in case they find the island and "need" to kill the survivors... oh well, they won't have to explain anything to their familes. they are already dead aren't they???

I also think Ben might have someone on the continent who keeps feeding him information. with wormholes or not... remember that he showed videos of JJuliet's sister playing in the park??? I don't think he sent someone there... someone from the island... I think he really has people out there.

last night's episode was good, but not as good as last weeks. but next week we will find out about another 6.
by the way... I'm suuuuure 6 of our losties got back to the continent... but the rest stayed behind... alive and well... that's why charlie showed up, to convince Hurley htey have to go back... and then... jack shows up... asking Hurley if he was going to tell... but afterwards, on jack's flash forward... he was the one freaking out and saying they should go back.
BTW... something tells me hurley was the one who died on jack's flashforward... I bet he killed himself, out of guilt. and that was the same reason he tried to kill himself.

I just don't know... if the 6 did something that caused the rest to stay behind... or if the rest of the group actually decided to stay!!!!!!
about the commercials... that's something that always pisses me off badly in LOST!!! sometimes I hate it because they are always trying to tell the littlest in one hour, so they work their tricks... too many commercials may be one of those tricks...
and this weeks episode was well placed. they tell us last week there only 6 survivors back... we of couse expect the following week we will learn about another survivor right?? WRONG!! they trick us again!!!

sorry for the long post!

i loved it so much!!!! i think the show just keeps getting better. although i dont like having that lost feeling when i watch it at the same time i like it. i like that it makes me think about whats goin on.
