Can someone sum up the story of "Lost" please?!

Question: I've never seen any of the episodes and have no idea what it's about other than a plane crash and some rumour of a monster or something. Can someone fill me in please.

A plane crashed on its way to LA from Sydney. The survivors are now on an island which has lots of strange things. There is black smoke that kills people, strange voices, an invisible man in a cabin, polar bears and a sequence of random numbers that seem to be connected to the island and the outside world, to name but a few. On the island are another group of people 'The others' who regularly attack and kidnap them, they were the original inhabitants of the island, (who took over the village populated by a community involved in some kind of experiment who had more recentley come to the island.
Now there is a ship off the coast which says it will rescue them - but will it. but what matters most is Charlie died in the last episode of the last season.

that would be totally impossible..your just going to have to watch every episode to catch up...its worth it

The story of lost cannot be summarised since so much has happened over the last couple of seasons.

But in short... they're still stuck on the Island.

I recommend you watch the whole thing from episode 1, you will be hooked!

It' s hard to sun up there's a lot of details but i'll try to keep it simple. A plane crashes on an isalnd and the survivors are trying to get rescued. They find other people on the island and all these other crazy things happen. we find out a lot of this people's lives are connected in someway through flashbacks. It's a pretty detailed show but it's not that hard to get into ot. I started watching with season 3.

There is a UTube video called Lost the first three seasons in 8 and a half minutes. It does a pretty good job of summarizing the major developments. Other than that I'd recommend renting/buying the first 3 seasons on dvd.

this might be of help:
