What do you think of American idol,and do you get embarrassed for some of the co!
Question: As a Brit I love it and also yes do feel sorry for some of them it is the ones who think they can sing but worst their famlies tell them they can and they believe it. Then when they get there they can't sing it is embarrassing for the poor person and they get so upset too.

i dont like the format this time, i really couldnt care less about the contestants hard luck story ,i wouldnt be interested if they were famous already and i dont think at this stage we need to hear any of that crap. i just want to see people make a show of themselves!

Feel awful for some of the people....they are deluded.....and their families are often to blame.
My hubby can't watch some of them he has to leave the room.

I think some of the contestants that come to audition for American idol do fake auditions. They just want to give the world something to laugh at, because some of the auditions just seemed so fake and ridiculous that it couldn't real.
Yes, Sometimes I cant even look at the television. I get really embarrased for them.
The same thing happened with me and Seinfeld when George was up to his tricks. I couldnt even watch :)
I feel sorry for the ones that can't sing. They should know they can't sing. I'd be the first to admit I can't sing a note...lol
I think its fake on some parts. My friend said her friend tried out and she sings pretty good but she didn't even make past the first round to get to paula randy and simon so its obviously for tv when theyre passing people who can't even sing to go on to sing for paula randy and simon so I think the first part of american idol is kinda fake but have you noticed paulas been more silent this season?
I do my best NOT to think of American Idol or any of the other so called reality shows. Unfortunately the TV news media in America seems to think what happens on that show is "newsworthy" and reports it while ignoring world events or mentioning them only in passing.
American Idol as a show wouldn't embarrass me because I'm not one of the contestants or the people that choose to watch it. The fact that our news media reports its happening does embarrass me when I know folks around the world watch things like CNN or *shudder* Fox.
I love American Idol. If they are not embarrassed for themselves then why should I be? It's funny at times to see who all is out there ( or should I say 'out of their mind"!
LOL. I think some of them enjoy it and just want to be on television and dont care about singing.
I like it, and yes, I do get embarrassed for some of the contestants - some of them are awful, but they think they're the bees knees!!!!
