What has happened to CITV on Freeview?!

Question: CITV - children's ITV was always on channel 75. Then yesterday they were broadcasting a black screen with the words, "CITV will no longer be available after 5th February".
The CITV website is still listing the TV programmes for future dates, and it also says, "Don't forget to retune your digibox after 5th Feb".
I have now rescanned for channels, and CITV is shown on channel 800 (rather surprisingly), but still broadcasting the black screen with the "no longer available" message.

Anyone know anything?

Here's the message from Freeview:

http://www.freeview.co.uk/channels/chi...

Note the final line: "If you live in Wales or do not have the full Freeview channel line-up, unfortunately you may not be able to receive CITV after this date."
This might apply to you?

I've just checked. Ours is still fine and is where it always is/was.

Its working ok on sky - maybe it will come back on when they have finished moving it around!

yeah, my son was gutted when he got home and couldn't watch "horrid Henry"! I have rescanned channels and tried 800 but that gives me UKTV History?

I've just retuned my freeview tv tuner. I'm 34 and no kids to entertain so childrens tv chalnnels are not watched, i was unaware of the so called change as per the question.
For the purposes of answering the question "freeview" (NOT satelite as I do not have satelite tv in my home) terestrial TV CITV is working normally.
perhaps your not picking up the channel or picking it up on the wrong station number is down to one of several possibilities.
if satelite may be the channel is not currently being broadcast correctlyor if it is perhaps the satelite in orbit may have a problem with that channel.
it could be anything hardware related from your dish, your cable or your box.
go to your dish and check the cables are properly connected.
next check your cable for any obvious defects.
check your box is working properly, take it to a friends and see if it works properly in that location. if it is working properly you chould contact a professional to check your dish has not lost alignment with the satelite. recent bad weather may have caused your dish to move making it unable to correctly pick up all channels.
also check that you do not have any power cables running next to your signal cable. if you do try as much as possible to move the signal cable away (at least 18") from the cable or cables.
the reason for this should be obvious but let me explain for those that may not know. Electrical power cables produce a magnetic field typically this field can interfere with a TV antenna (terestrial and satelite) causing what may already be a weak signal to a signal too weak for your tuner to correctly descramble and thus tune into. this is especially a problem with digital recievers as on free view at least the multitude of TV and radio channels (around 60 all together) are typically only broadcast on FIVE (5) frequencies.

if all else fails try resetting your box to factory defaults and then retune the box.
assuming that if you as it appears are using satelite and are a sky customer then try there help section on the web or over the phone failing that yu have contacted itv to see why the channel is not available on satelite at the moment.

CITV Channel is still on freeview Channel 75 but on the 5th of February it had to be rescanned and it still is Channel 75, but also Channel 800 but that don't work so it's still Channel 75 for CITV so don't worry.
