Well, all we can do is guess, right?
I think that the last episode in Season 3 will have signifigance, because we don't know who's in the casket yet: that will be revealed to us at some point.
I don't know if the flashbacks or flashforwards will merge, it would be really confusing: and if they do, I sincerly doubt it would be in Season 4, since there are 6 seasons in total.
I don't know if the Oceanic 6 will try to get back to the island, I mean we saw how desperate Jack was in the flashback in Season 3, but in the Season 4 flashback, we saw he was all cleaned up..
Maybe the Oceanic 6 will try to crash once again, in a later season, and maybe that's when real time will start to merge with the flashforwards.

yes it does, when you see the first episode of season 4 its amaaazing, kind of fits together but like me, you need to see the next few episodes of Season 4 to understand it 100% i think!
I'm so confused about the flashforwards, as the creators said they won't get rescued for ages :s. I've seen the first episode of series 4 and there's more flashforwards, I don't wanna spoil it for anyone so won't say anymore
