Old School AMC fans....Where are you?!
Question: AMC used to be my grandmother's favorite soap and since I was often left in her care, I had to watch it...now if memory serves me correctly, Jesse was definately killed years ago...my grandmother actually cried....anyway, I haven't watched AMC in awhile, I stopped watching when Dixie came back to life for the second time.....
So are we to expect that Jesse was in Witness Protection all these years??? And he just magically knew that Frankie was dying?

Janet's residing on the funny farm at the moment. I started watching this soap in 1974 and I hate to say this to all the people who have started watching recently but you have yet to find out what a good soap can be like. Back in the day I absolutely couldn't wait till it came on every day. Depending on the story at the time it could be agony having to wait till the next day to see what would happen. I still watch it but if I miss a day or a few days I don't care because it just isn't the same. They need another Phoebe type character - she was a riot. And some good family based stories. How it has changed and not always for the better.

I stopped watching AMC when they started the lesbian stuff with Bianca. It wasn't because of that, I actually went back to college to get my degree and soaps had to fall by the way side.
So you are saying Jessie is back? I hate when they do stuff like that. Does that mean eventually they will bring back Mona, or Phobe? That stuff irratates me because when the actor actually dies and that is written in the script, should we expect to see them again?
And I never cared for Dixie from the beginning. The way she came into the show and her affair with Adam, knowing he was happily married to Brooke who couldn't concieve at the time, was just wrong.
Yup. You've got the right idea. I like soaps and can overlook a lot of things they do, but bringing Jesse back is ridiculous - he's been dead for years and since his death has appeared as an angel. The writing and creation of this latest scheme is so dumb. I'm not liking Jesse's return at all.
I stopped watching AMC a few years ago. I try to read about it in SOD, but I really don't care. The first time I ever watched it was in 1991 when Janet put Natalie in the well. That was great. Erica, Dimitri, Gillian, the Santos', Brooke, Trevor, etc. Now it's just a shell.
don't know where he's been or why yet, they haven't disclosed that yet. anyway yes he is alive and back. I guess they can bring anyone back even if they show the body being dead.
Boy do I agree with you.. The writers must think that we're all morons. I'm glad he's back but this is ridiculous.
What gets me is that they made such a big deal out of Jesse's funeral. Yes, he magically knew that Frankie was dying. lol lol
Amanda's mother, Janet shows up from time to time. She's in a mental hospital and recently had a scene with Ritchie - Annie's brother.
It a soap, these things only happen on here. Not always a good idea to re-write history. Especially since Jesse guided Gillian in the after-life when she didn't want to give up Ryan. Notice they didn't touch on that one.
Janet is in a mental ward, but still alive. Dixie died again last year - this time there is no doubt that she is gone - at least not for a few more years.
I haven't really watched AMC for two or three years because the quality has spiralled downwards. I switched to OLTL.
They can bring back whoever they want, just get everyone out the dang hospital!!
yes, jesse was in the witness protection program. he should probably see Julia and they can talk about their lives on the run. Pheobe is sorly missed as is Greg and Jenny...If Greg is ever brought back, please bring his sitck her nose into your business mother with him and have her go against marion for stuart. That would interesting. I really miss the days when they had decent writers and great actors. These 'newbee" need to go and bring back the old favorites. All of them.
I know, I remember him dying and cried too and I was 9!AMC had to do something HUGE to get ratings back up, they have been BAD lately so they brought out the big guns. the way they do things is outrageous soemtimes but I always liked Jesse so I am glad he is back. I am waiting for the to adress how Jeseee showed Gillian, who never met him in life, around heaven. I guess that they can say Tad was under stress and needed his best friend so he imagined him not once but twice.
Oh WOW. I remember Angelic and Dimitri. That was soo awesome when Angelic was wheeled out. I was like, Oh Sh!@.
Those were some good story lines. The kind that would have you talking to your television, yelling at Angelic's mom and Dimitri for even having a first wife.
I also remember when Jesse came back as a ghost. and i was curios to see how they were going to bring him back as a real person when everyone saw him as a ghost.
I remember Angelique! That was a shocker when she appeared! I miss Dimitri! I always thought that he was the best match for Erica.
I thought it was kinda cool when they brought back Barbara, but too bad they couldn't give her a better storyline. Barbara always did take Erica's cast offs! HAHA! It's too bad they couldn't bring back Bianca's dad. Last time we saw him Bianca was really young.
I miss Natalie and Trevor. I miss a lot of the people not on. And since Amanda is back, why can't they bring back Timmy?
Yes Jesse did get killed but you know they find a way to bring people back. Janet from another planet is in the looney hospital.

I'm sorry but, I looked in on this show a couple times, and what I saw wasn't interesting enough to keep watching!
Okay, I'm as old-school as you can get - I've been watching this stupid show for 36 years and I was way grown when I started. And yeah - Jesse died, and my husband and I met a friend of his at the house at lunchtime so we could "go to the funeral". But quite frankly, I don't care *how* they bring him back - just bring him back as Jesse. Let him have been in Wit/Pro for 20 years; let him have been hiding in Tibet or Nepal, or Southern Afghanisthan; let him have been in a prison camp in some war-torn country. Just let him be back, as Jesse Hubbard, not some lookalike, not some long-lost twin, I want my Jesse Hubbard back.
