the writers went on strike ;[[
but they are trying to fill up their spots and still keep watchers interested, so i think they're having like little "behind the scenes" episodes witht he cast like every monday on cw.
i hope they come backkk
Oh yes. and btw, i heard the actual next new season like with all new good episodes are probably going to be next fall. like as in Fall 'o8 :[[

I'll see this Wednesday, i hope they have a new one...they should have had one on hte 28 of January :(
they just had those two major epusodes, so I think they will start a new season, meaning probably not anytime soon. I know, my sister and I are bummed too. =(

right now they're doing this thing called "Gossip Girl Revealed" where there are no new episodes because of the writer's guild strike but you get to watch interviews with the cast
Well the writers strike is going to end this week hopefully so maybe the next week or the week after that.
Gossip Girl already aired all of the new episodes (13) that it had produced before the writers' strike.

Thus, until the writers' strike ends, there will definitely be no new episodes.
Regarding when new episodes will air again after the strike has ended, there are two possible scenarios. One is that the writers' strike ends this week (as is looking likely) and TPTB choose to produce 4-5 more episodes of season 1 to air in April/May. (It takes that long to write a script and finish filming and editing and the like. Usually this is about 2 months delay from start to finish.) This is unlikely for Gossip Girl (and other new shows). Much more likely is that the season has been ended due and the show will not be back until September (with season 2), when all the new fall shows will be back.
