LOST season 4 premier?!?!

Question: Ok, who else was incredibly disappointed?!
-It was only an hour, with that pointless recap that they should've had BEFORE the premier and actually had it as 2 hours like they said.
-Nothing new happened, it was just like an extended preview, everything we KNEW happened happened.

Let's just hope the season gets better.

I just love the show and hope it does not disappoint!... I am trying not to be too critical at this point - it's such a great show!...

I liked it.

well you are right but if you were looking in the bottom of the screen is what telling us little bits of info all through the episode then it had a new episode the very next night at 8 and it told us that Hurley is in the nuthouse...

i was disappointed..it didn't really answer any questions

I personally don't know if it was because I was over hyped or because it's been too long, but I was a bit disappointed too. The 2 hour thing was also deceiving, the stations should've been more specific about what was actually being shown.

I think they just needed to set things up (split the camp, get in contact with the boat) to get things rolling. I'm sure by the time the next few episodes air, we'll be cleaning up our brains.

The premier did provide things to go crazy over though, no?: who are the Oceanic six, Jacob=Christian?, etc, etc.

liked the premier but like you i was disapointed with the hour before the premier because they did make it seem like it was going to be all new 2 hours. Can't wait for thursday.

I actually thought it was better than the season 2 premiere at least, if not the season 3 premiere.

I thought a lot of new things happened. First, the camp split, which is a major thing. Second, we know that only the "Oceanic 6" get off of the island. Third, we learned that something bad happened and it is eating away at Hurley and starting to bother Jack. Fourth, we learned that being dead on the island doesn't mean that you're truly dead, as not only could Hurley see Charlie, but so could other people. Fifth, we know that there is something up with Christian Shephard that connects him to the island.

Honestly, though, I'm not in it for answers. I'm in it for compelling story, complex characters, and good acting, and it definitely delivered in those areas. I just loved the character interaction. The whole thing with Desmond and Hurley processing Charlie's death and having to tell Claire. The interaction between Hurley and Sawyer that culminated in Sawyer choosing his side over Kate and Jack. There was just so much good stuff!
