What is Kyle from Kyle XY supposed to be?!

Kyle is a clone of a man named Adam Baylin. He was in a gestation pod in Zzyx for 16 years, and when he escaped was like a newborn. Nicole Trager treated him for amnesia, thinking that was why he had no memories. Later the Tragers adopted him (after his "real" family "died" in a car accident, but this scenario was all a setup by Baylin's associate Tom Foss, who helps train Kyle in his abilities). Kyle only recently told the Tragers the truth of his origins as a clone. Declan is the only one outside the family (besides Zzyx, Madacorp (evil), and Latnok (questionable intentions) ) to know the truth.
Jessi is also a clone - she was cloned from Adam Baylin's girlfriend Sarah (who Jessi frequently refers to as her mother). Jessi is being cared for by Brian Taylor, a former Zzyx employee who betrayed Adam Baylin, so at this point his intentions are questionable.

he's a scientific experiment that was successful, but he wasn't supposed to be exposed to society (the family he's with found him)
He's and Jessie are made in a lab people. That explains no navel in either of them.
